Brighton's Low Carbon Carnival

This year's Brighton Carnival parade is coming up soon on Sunday July 12th 2009.

A unique aspect of the Brighton Carnival is that all vehicles are fuelled by plant oil mixes, electric, solar and pedal power only.

The carnival aims to have a big, loud and exciting day in celebration of everyone who makes up Brighton & Hove. An estimated 15% of the city?s residents were born outside of the UK. Carnival provides an arena to explore and celebrate the variety of cultures that make it so vibrant.
